MAUREEN GELDART
As Principal of The Geldart Consulting Group, Maureen has developed a national executive search practice that focuses on education and healthcare, including clients such as research intensive universities, technical institutions, colleges, health authorities, professional associations, independent schools,
and public school boards. She has also consulted with post-secondary institutions on organizational structure and faculty recruitment initiatives.
Before forming The Geldart Group, Maureen worked as a Senior Consultant for a national executive search firm where she honed her relationship and consultant skills with many national and international organizations. She also had a private practice career in the medical field.
Well known not only for her out-going personality and relationship building skills, but also for her tenacity and attention to detail, Maureen has professional expertise in the executive search field and proven track record in the areas of facilitation, focus groups and negotiation.
A wide and varied client list
Academic clients have included: University of New Brunswick, Queen's University, Lakehead University, Laurentian University, University of Saskatchewan, University of Regina, Athabasca University, University of Northern British Columbia, Simon Fraser University and University of Victoria. She has worked extensively with NAIT, BCIT, Camosun College, Lethbridge College, Mount Royal College, Douglas College, Northern Lights College, College of New Caledonia, Lakeland College and the Higher Colleges of Technology (UAE). She also has success placing CEOs in public school boards and independent schools.
Recently Maureen has placed a number of academic clinician/scientists in a collaborative recruitment initiative involving the University of Manitoba Faculty of Medicine, Manitoba Health and the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. Other health care sector clients include: the Registered Nurses Association of BC, the College of Dental Hygienists of BC, Health Employers' Association of BC, Northern Health and Fraser Health Authorities and the Diagnostic Services of Manitoba.
ALEX VERDECCHIA
Prior to joining The Geldart Group, Alex Verdecchia worked as the Lead Research Associate for another national executive search firm. With more than five years of experience recruiting in the academic and health care sectors, Alex can create excitement, interest and enthusiasm among a wide variety of prospects. Alex has experience placing successful candidates in every tier from Director and Dean positions to Research Chairs, University Vice Presidents and Presidents.
His ability to recruit for a broad spectrum of positions along with his strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, persuasive abilities, professionalism and his great sense of humour makes Alex an invaluable member of The Geldart Group.
MAUREEN MACLEAN
Maureen Maclean brings diverse international search experience and a unique blend of expertise to the Geldart Group.
A graduate of the University of Victoria, Maureen began her career in operations accounting and business management in Alberta’s oil industry. Her career in Executive Search evolved early on as she leveraged her business acumen and finance background as an Associate with a niche firm specializing in CFO and Senior Financial searches. Liaising between board members, venture capitalists and candidates in a fast paced, high energy environment, Maureen developed and honed her interpersonal, analytical and organizational search skills during the growth years of the dot com industry in Silicon Valley. Building on this experience she went on to join a generalist search firm with a nation-wide client base and international partners as Head of Research. The ability to recruit for a broad spectrum of executive positions across a variety of industries along with the opportunity to participate in the global reach of international search allowed her to further expand her skill set and her perspective. Since returning to Canada, Maureen has focused her search endeavours on the public sector, targeting the high demand areas of Education and Healthcare. As part of a national practice, she has spent the past three years recruiting for leadership roles in Canadian Universities, Colleges and Technical Institutions as well as Regional Health Authorities and Healthcare Regulatory Bodies across the country.

NATASHA KNIGHT
Natasha joined The Geldart Group in early 2011. She brings a broad range of experience having spent many years working in the education and conservation biology sectors as well as for non-profit organizations.
Natasha has studied at Queen's University, BCIT, and UBC and has worked internationally spending several years in Asia. Her passion for education and health care along with her strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail makes her a valuable member of our team.
DANIELLE CONN
Danielle joined The Geldart Group in the spring of 2010. Having completed her Bachelor of Arts at Bishop's University, Danielle returned to BC where she attended the University of British Columbia, studying Elementary Education and receiving her Bachelor of Education in 2009. Currently working as our Office Administrator, Danielle is a key member of our team, responsible for organizing and facilitating travel and communication between our team and clients.
With her focus on Education, Danielle is eager to return to the classroom one day but is excited to be working in academic search with The Geldart Group.
